I've also recently started using a semi-damp sponge and tapping it straight into pressed powder and setting my concealer like that, for my quick lazy days and the results are flawless. The powders are semi-matte and lightweight that you can layer if you feel you need to for coverage. I sometimes do use my fingers to tap in layers as I find it the best way to build coverage with Stretch, but will usually soften out the edges with a damp sponge if I use that method.Įither way, I always set my concealers with pressed powder from charlotte tillbury using a big fluffy brush, then laura mercier translucent powder on top using either a tapered brush or drier sponge. I apply mine using a very soft round concealer brush (it takes a while to find the right one, alot of complexion brushes out there can be streaky unfortunately) and either blend it out with the brush by tapping in and then softening it with a semi-damp blender sponge (I use ones from beauty bakerie) or just going straight in with the blender sponge after applying with a brush. I wanted a dewy, glowy, fresh-looking face and not much else.

I chose the first look as an homage to the brands ethosmakeup that lets your skin look like skin.

It took a while for me to figure out what works with these new types of products but I've learnt to just use them the same way as I did with products before, as I'll still benefit from a natural finish this time without having to change or second guess the routine. Face: Stretch Concealer (18) and Haloscope in Moonstone (22) Brows: Boy Brow in Brown (16) Lips: Lip Gloss (14) Eyes: Lash Slick (16) Hallie Gould. I'm similar to you where I made the transition from always matte full-face to a more natural look.
